Cadaver; Human Remains Detection Search
Techniques for Homicide Investigators
This
16 hour block of instruction is for K9 handlers that will be called upon to
assist homicide investigators in locating human remains. Extensive instruction
will be given in criminal behavior when disposing of homicide victims and
limitations on the human remains detection canine. Search scenarios will cover
shallow graves, disarticulation, burning of remains, and masking of scent
through
structures and chemical compounds.
