Cadaver; Human Remains Detection
This 16 hour block of instruction exposes the student to the
basics of locating human remains on land, buried, or hanging. Specific
instruction will be given to scent imprinting and building the passive alert.
Topics covered will include mechanics of scent, search patterns, acquiring and
maintaining training aids, legal issues involving land cadaver canines, and
search scenarios. Basic crime scene preservation is addressed. (This course is
provided to civilian SAR personnel.)
